I have not seen "Primer" yet, but I did love "Triangle" more than this one, but that's just a matter of taste I guess.

Anyways, great review and I gotta say how much I love these kinds of movies that deal with time travel.Andreihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00310144292811089076noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-331602473490911034.post-69988424468005283862010-07-30T09:25:41.648+02:002010-07-30T09:25:41.648+02:00Oh my, is Somewhere in Time the Christopher Reeve/...Oh my, is Somewhere in Time the Christopher Reeve/Jane Seymour one? I remember that! It's all really weepy and tragic. Awesome, I'd entirely forgotten about it till just now. Touchy business, time travel. You go back and step on the wrong plant and all human history as you know it changes.
One of my favorite time travel films isn't a horror movie at all, but the oh so romantic Somewhere in Time. Sigh....even zombies like me have a heart...black and decaying, but a heart never the less.
Dreaded Dreams
Petunia ScareumAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-331602473490911034.post-4496198778996657742010-07-29T10:44:50.252+02:002010-07-29T10:44:50.252+02:00Hey, Doc. Poor old Hector, he did start off as a bit of amiable idiot so that progression was quite startling, but you're right, you did weirdly want to him to succeed.

Well Hello, Shaun. You do have a point there, but a for a first feature from the writer/director it still had a lot going for it. Must find out if he has done anything else since.
I too was reminded of Primer. I saw it ages ago so I think I may have to give it a rewatch now. I think it probably benefits from a couple of watches anyway. Thank you for the recommendation.Jinxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09846009841300499536noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-331602473490911034.post-89929060806599879002010-07-28T18:15:00.240+02:002010-07-28T18:15:00.240+02:00A good film, but hampered by the inbuilt repetitio...A good film, but hampered by the inbuilt repetition of the central concept. Another mind bending time travel flick I'd recommend is PRIMER.Shaun Anderson [The Celluloid Highway]https://www.blogger.com/profile/18066744649878418309noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-331602473490911034.post-20965223475851215502010-07-28T14:07:39.047+02:002010-07-28T14:07:39.047+02:00I'm glad you watched that. I think the ending made Hector out to be pretty coldblooded really and not a very likable character at all. It's weird how we want him to succeed all the way through though.Dr Bloodhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17904860037603156527noreply@blogger.com
