So pleased everyone's loving this as much as I do.

Mike! Thank you! Yay, Ron Perlman! Can't wait to hear what you have to say about it. It'll be awesome as always. I think you'd be an excellent Teddy. Years ago in my other life on stage it was always on my wish list of dream roles to play one of the aunts, any one of them, didn't care, they're both great. Also Madame Arcati from Blithe Spirit. That was problem right there as far as me and the acting profession went, I was born too late and (never thought I'd say this) too young. But we could put on the show right here, what do you say, Mike?Jinxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09846009841300499536noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-331602473490911034.post-88639889830685776982010-10-26T02:32:51.438+02:002010-10-26T02:32:51.438+02:00Ahhhhh, I love it! I've dreamt of being Teddy in a stage version for YEARS.

As always, you are the darn best. May Ron Perlman smile upon you. :)The Mikehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09871017982169159144noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-331602473490911034.post-10549141315313493582010-10-25T20:30:26.594+02:002010-10-25T20:30:26.594+02:00I love this movie! It'll likely be a community theater affair, without as good a cast -- but there's a wonderful energy in seeing it onstage. It always works, no matter who does it. I love Peter Lorre and the aunts were just fantastic. I think the reason it's such a great ensemble piece is because each character and each actor utterly shines, one second you're thinking that's my favourite character or performance then the next someone else is on screen and you're in love with them. Just marvellous, and certainly enhanced from it having come from the theatre.
And that line is just the best.

Hi, Jenny! Glad you're a fan too. Both were directed by Frank Capra so I wonder if that's why you find them alike. Come Christmas time I certainly be getting It's a Wonderful Life out, another hoilday classic.Jinxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09846009841300499536noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-331602473490911034.post-15786165953161575072010-10-25T15:40:14.951+02:002010-10-25T15:40:14.951+02:00For some reason this movie reminds me of "It&...For some reason this movie reminds me of "It's a wonderful life." The teen comedies of today will never match up to classic black comedy as it is wonderfully executed in this film. Peter Lorre and Cary Grant are hilarious as are the ladies playing the aunts, and the whole thing is just a fun time. I agree it's one of the best films of all time, no contest!

"I'm not a Brewster, I'm the son of a sea cook!"Michele (TheGirlWhoLovesHorror)https://www.blogger.com/profile/03309044766117909683noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-331602473490911034.post-89505371237322454462010-10-25T12:22:45.674+02:002010-10-25T12:22:45.674+02:00Thanks, Steve. It's just beautifully crafted, genuinely funny and a perfect example of an ensemble cast working at its best.
